O Memorial de Gravatá foi criado no palacete de Joaquim Didier cuja construção data de 1911. O prédio foi sede da Cadeia Pública até o final da década de 70.
O Memorial de Gravatá será reformado com recursos das Leis Aldir Blanc e compra de novos equipamentos com a Lei Paulo Gustavo sob os cuidados da Secretaria de Turismo, Cultura, Esportes e Lazer do município.
